WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN
My heart is happy,
My heart is glad, Dinah makes me happy,
Dinah makes me glad; Her hair is curly,
Her eyes are brown, And I'm going to meet her
When the sun goes down.
Many are the maidens,
Many are their charms, But of all the maidens
Dinah only charms; Her teeth are pearly,
Her cheeks are brown, And I'm going to meet her
When the sun goes down.
Moonlight on the water,
Moonlight on the stream, That is Dinah laughing
Like a rippling beam; Soon the night is coming,
Soon the stars will crown, And I'm going to meet her
When the sun goes down. |
